You're Not Stuck — You Just Haven't Found Your Next Step Yet

Many women come to me feeling "stuck." They describe living in a way that feels impossible to change — the old resigned shrug of "it is what it is."

But here's the truth: there's no such thing as being stuck. There's always an option, even if it's not the one we'd love to have. There's always a next step, however small, that moves us toward a better place. And here's something else worth remembering — we are constantly evolving creatures. Change isn't just possible; it's part of who we are.

Step One: Rediscover Your Strengths

Depending on where a client is starting from, I usually begin by helping her identify her strengths — often by looking at herself through a completely new lens. It's hard to see clearly when you're standing right in the middle of something. A fresh perspective changes everything.

Step Two: Meet Your "Ideal Me"

Once we've named those strengths, we move on to something I call the "Ideal Me." This is the person you want to become. We start by choosing the adjectives you'd want others to use when describing you — in other words, how you'd want people to talk well about you behind your back.

From there, the Ideal Me becomes your compass. When your goals, strengths, and values are aligned, decision-making gets easier. Doubt and second-guessing fade — and so do regrets.

The Science Behind the Change: Neuroplasticity

Here's the part I love sharing most: neuroscience backs this up.

Neuroplasticity is the brain's remarkable ability to reorganize and reshape its neural connections in response to experience, learning, injury, and even disease — and it happens throughout our entire lives, not just in childhood, as scientists once believed.

In practical terms, this means we genuinely have the power to change the way we think, process information, and even manage how we feel. Part of my work is helping each client find the approach that works best for her — a personalized system that puts neuroplasticity to work, shifting mood and mindset in a lasting way.

Because our brain's circuits can be physically reshaped through repeated thoughts and behaviors, one thing becomes clear: we are never, ever stuck.
